Gilbert Ward Academy, part of Prosper Learning Trust, is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Science Teacher to join our team from September 2026.
Key Qualifications
- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Science at secondary level
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the needs of pupils with SEMH and/or Autism Spectrum Conditions
- Be an innovative and adaptable educator, able to engage and inspire students in their learning
- Share our commitment to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive
Responsibilities
- Establishing a purposeful and safe learning environment and supporting learners’ behaviour constructively
- Contributing to the monitoring and development of the required subject/s area to ensure suitable opportunities
- Planning effectively in the short, medium and long – term
- Assessing, recording and reporting on the development and progress of learners

The successful candidate will be deployed initially at Gilbert Ward Academy but will be expected to work at any Prosper Learning Trust site should the need arise.
