The Company: A thriving consultancy, specialising in providing professional expertise and market knowledge to developers, investors, policymakers and the supply chain. Founded back in 2016, initially operating purely as a Cost Management service. The company has since extended its service, now including project management, strategic advisory and construction integration. The spectrum of propositions offered is developed and evolved through an understanding of the changing market needs. The business is now split with 60% on Cost Management and the other 40% on Project Management.

The Role: They are seeking a motivated Senior Cost Consultant to join their dynamic London-based team. This full-time, hybrid position entails the delivery of cost consultancy services for residential developments across the UK. In this role, you will work closely with clients and project teams, offering expert guidance and support throughout the project, from the acquisition phase to practical completion.
You would be part of an industry leading team comprised of 50 Quantity Surveying professionals, working across a range of projects including build to rent, later living, affordable housing, private for sale, student accommodation, hotels, strategic land, high rise, master planning and regeneration. Whilst their work is residential focused, projects tend to include mixed use elements of commercial, retail and leisure!
Annual performance targets are set out at the start of the year, with mid/end of year reviews, tracking development and guiding you towards promotion.

Requirements for the Senior Cost Consultant:
- Minimum 6 years’ experience working in the UK construction industry
- Leadership of the day-to-day cost management services to our clients across chosen projects
- Technically astute in providing cost management services (cost planning, procurement, and post-contract)
- MRICS preferred or another qualification in a relevant business discipline
- An adaptable individual who can work within a team and autonomously
- Sound commercial knowledge and a good understanding of the key drivers of residential cost and value
- Experience in developing and managing junior resources
- Strong communication skills – able to communicate confidently with colleagues and clients
- Keen attention to detail with an eye for quality and accuracy and an understanding of the importance of quality assurance
- High standards of literacy and numeracy
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrable passion for and understanding of the Real Estate and Construction Industry
