The Role: An opportunity has arisen for a Project Director to lead the Manchester office of this highly regarded construction consultancy. The position involves running the Manchester operations with support from the Regional Director. You will be responsible for the delivery and strategic management of commissions of significant size and complexity through all phases of design, preconstruction, construction and project completion. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple sectors including residential, commercial, fit-out, hotels, life sciences through to arts and heritage.

Requirements for the Project Director:
- Approximately 10+ years’ delivering project commissions (construction values in excess of £25M) through the full project life cycle in one of the listed sectors
- Extensive experience performing the role of the Contract Administrator/Employers Agent under the relevant building contracts
- Prior experience working in a client focused, consultancy-based environment or directly for a commercial developer
- Good knowledge of the construction industry and technical matters such as procurement and managing financial elements of a project
- Advanced communicator and presenter at senior/executive client level, able to understand clients' specific needs, tailoring advice and communications as required
- Confident managing the day-to-day delivery and strategic direction of commissions
- Delegating tasks whilst meeting deadlines, ensuring work and projects are running in line with expectations
- Confident leading and managing others with a desire to focus on mentoring and developing junior talent
- Adept at problem-solving and a drive to overcome obstacles to obtain positive results for clients, exceeding expectations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word etc
