As a residential child care worker, you will pay a pivotal role in positively impacting the lives of children and young people. Your responsibilities will include attending to their practical, physical, and emotional needs, and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing Comprehensive Care: Delivering high-quality care and support to vulnerable young individuals, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties.
  • Building Trusting Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, young people, and external agencies, becoming a reliable and trustworthy figure in their lives.
  • Creating a Supportive Environment: Collaborate with your team to foster a loving and stable environment that promotes positive outcomes and enriching learning experiences for each young person.
  • Ensuring Safeguarding: Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, ensuring the protection and welfare of every young person under your care.

Your dedication and commitment will contribute significantly to helping young people achieve the bright futures they deserve. Prosper Care are seeking individuals to support young people on a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio.

Skills:

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff members.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for transporting residents when required.
  • Previous experience in childcare or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £12.50 per hour plus £60.00 sleep in rate (2 on 4 off shift pattern)

Additional pay: Performance bonus
