Prospectus is proud to be supporting our client, a globally renowned university, in their search for a temporary Summer School Manager (Pre-University Cohort). Please note that you will be required to live on-site from early July to late August (with meals provided). This role will also require an enhanced DBS certificate due to contact with young people under 18.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pastoral care and safeguarding of students in accommodation and during activities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the summer programme, ensuring a high-quality student experience
- Act as a safeguarding lead, managing incidents and supporting students’ wellbeing
- Manage and support a team of Summer School Assistants, including training and rotas
- Coordinate the delivery of a diverse extracurricular and social programme
- Monitor attendance, student feedback, and programme performance
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Recent, relevant experience in a similar role in a university or other higher education provider.
- Confidence overseeing pastoral care and safeguarding, and directly managing a team
- High level of organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Collaborative and proactive approach
