About the Role
Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a large and well-established national children's charity to recruit a passionate and skilled Education Mental Health Practitioner. The role will support the mission to improve access to mental health services for young people, with a focus on delivering evidence-based early intervention support for mild to moderate emotional and mental health issues within educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured 1:1 and group-based interventions in schools.
- Support children and young people in self-managing their mental health.
- Conduct informal assessments and develop goal-based outcomes.
- Maintain accurate case records and manage a personal caseload.
- Identify safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately.
- Collaborate with multi-agency partners and attend relevant meetings.
- Contribute to the development of resources and service innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)Â or Children's Wellbeing Practitioner qualification.
- Recent and relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Competent in delivering low-intensity CBT interventions and undertaking risk assessments.
- Understanding of neurodevelopmental conditions and service pathways.
- Familiarity with solution-focused and cognitive behavioural approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child development, and educational systems.
- Competence in using digital platforms and clinical record systems.
