Prospectus is excited to be collaborating with an independent music charity and benevolent fund to recruit for a Grants and Enquiries Officer to join their team. This role is offered on a 3-year contract with the possibility to be made permanent. The role is largely to be undertaken remotely, ideally with some face to face working a couple of times per month at their London office.

The Grants and Enquiries Officer is a newly created role for the charity. Working with the Director of Grant Giving and Grants Manager, the postholder will play a key role in the efficient running of the Grants Department. This varied role will include managing all incoming enquiries, assisting with the processing of applications for assistance, and production of schedules and reports when required.

The postholder will develop strong working relationships with a diverse range of partner organisations and suppliers and will work alongside the Director of Grant Giving and Grants Manager to ensure the continued sustained growth and development of grant giving at the charity.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a complementary role within a charity, health, social care or welfare setting. You will bring strong organisational and administration experience and will be highly empathetic with the ability to deal directly with vulnerable individuals and complex cases and to engage with people in a confident and professional manner. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills with a high standard of verbal/written English and the ability to write letters, reports and other documents.
