Our client is a group of independent registered charities driven by a mission to make philanthropy more convenient and efficient for their donors. The organisation's clients are high/ultra-high net worth individuals with considerable assets dedicated to charitable giving. They will often work with private client advisors (lawyers, private bankers, wealth planners, accountants) to manage their wealth. The organisation offers clients donor‑advised funds (DAF) giving vehicles to individuals, family offices, and wealth managers. A donor‑advised fund is a philanthropic fund established under an umbrella charity, such as our client, which administers the funds on behalf of the donor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grants Processing – supporting the Grants Team with the entire grantmaking process from grant recommendation (from the DAF donor) to grant payment (to the grantee).
- Grantmaking Compliance – ensuring grants made from the organisation are compliant with UK and UK/US charitable grantmaking rules.
- Subject Matter Expertise – supporting the Grants Team to be subject matter experts, both internally and externally, on all aspects of grantmaking activity for the organisation and providing appropriate communication to the other functions as necessary.
