Prospectus is excited to be working with our client to help them recruit for a Fundraising Manager (Marketing) to join their team. The charity was set up in December 2003 to ensure that bereaved children and their families receive the best possible support following the death of a loved one. Our client is a leading UK bereavement charity, providing free, professional services and support to more than 3,000 bereaved children, young people and their families a year. They predominantly work in London, but also in Bristol and Essex, and provide a national reach through their helpline ‘grieftalk’ and through the distribution of Grief Relief Kits.

The role is offered on a permanent full-time basis with a salary of £36,000 to £39,000 per annum with a flexible hybrid working model between home and their London Office.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Drive marketing efforts and lead the development and delivery of the marketing strategy to develop the organisation’s brand, raise the charity’s profile and drive voluntary income.
  2. Support the Fundraising Department by developing and executing marketing strategies that generate income through campaigns, events, and fundraising initiatives.
  3. Oversee the creation of marketing assets in partnership with the retained creative agency, ensuring that campaigns are compelling and on-brand.
  4. Manage social media campaigns that drive donations and awareness for fundraising efforts to build relationships with supporters and engage potential donors.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Demonstrable experience in marketing within the charity sector with a focus on fundraising marketing.
  2. Experience in supporting income generation through marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  3. Experience managing relationships with external agencies such as PR and Creative.
  4. A personal interest in developing knowledge and understanding of childhood bereavement and our client’s services.
