As they continue to grow, they are looking for a Senior Cost Manager with proven experience, notably in the Energy and Infrastructure sectors, to join their Cost Management Team within their Wales & West Region Project Controls Practice. Reporting to the Cost Management Lead, you will be responsible for building long-term, sustainable relationships with both members of the internal team and the wider client base. You will involve delivering work for both existing and new clients to ensure technical service offerings are kept to the highest standard, whilst maintaining a strong team-working ethos in accordance with the firm’s digital aspirations. Support the Cost Management capability, including development and use of Power-BI, PRISM, Oracle, Deltek, Ecosys, and other relevant software. Engage the community of practice and support technical excellence, service innovation, and the development of benchmarking capabilities. Unlock talent and develop the next generation of leaders. Deliver excellent client service on commissions through quality assurance and regular client care. Support and manage teams on project/technical delivery. Good network within the energy and/or infrastructure sectors. Management skills necessary to advise project teams appropriately. Proven technical skills to monitor, analyze, and control cost performance against set targets. Collaborative behaviors and technical expertise to interface with wider project controls, including schedule logic and risk exposure. Commercial, quantity surveying, and/or finance skills, with full working knowledge of the construction industry and understanding of Standard Forms of Contract (NEC/FIDIC/IChemE). Ability to develop and understand performance measurement using Earned Value Management (EVM) and similar techniques. Major project/programme work experience. Support the delivery of the Cost Management strategy, including continuous development. Monitor progress against targets, identify risks, and provide solutions.
