About The Home

Hatton House is a 4 bedded childrens residential home based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. Supporting children and young people up to the age of 18 – the home provides a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment by offering emotional and practical support to help children develop life skills and build confidence.

The Role

As a Waking Night Support Worker, You Will

  • Safeguard and promote the wellbeing of young people in our care throughout the night.
  • Supporting with night-time routines, manage incidents should they occur
  • Provide through handover to the day shift.
  • Support with daily routines, household tasks, and meal preparation.
  • Encourage participation in community activities, and hobbies.
  • Transport young people to school, medical appointments, and activities.
  • Act as a positive role model, setting clear boundaries and building trust.
  • Liaise with other professionals like social workers and therapists to ensure the physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Help young people develop life skills, including managing finances.
  • Maintain accurate records and paperwork.
  • Work flexibly rotating onto weekends, bank holidays.
  • Be able to work 4 on 4 off from 9pm to 8am

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare (fully funded).
  • Honesty, empathy, and a commitment to being a positive role model.
  • Drivers with a FULL UK license are essential.

Shifts

Contracted to work 40 hours per week

4 on 4 off from 9pm until 8am
