What you’ll do
- Research markets, organisations and industry trends to identify new business opportunities
- Contact potential clients by ‘phone, email and online channels to introduce our products and services
- Prepare presentations, proposals and other client-facing materials
- Support negotiations and help agree commercial terms in line with company guidelines
- Work with colleagues in sales, marketing and other teams to support business development activity
- Keep accurate records of leads, meetings and pipeline activity in our CRM
- Attend networking events, conferences and industry meetings to build new connections
- Share insights from client conversations to support planning and product development

Skills & Requirements
- Confident, professional communication, both written and spoken
- Strong research skills and an entrepreneurial approach to understanding clients and markets
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- A 2:1 degree from a UK university or equivalent; the ability to work in the UK on a long-term basis; fluent written and verbal English. Preferable
- Previous experience in business development or a client-facing role in magazine publishing
