About CULT Cymru
CULT Cymru (Creative Unions Learning Together) is an exciting and dynamic all-Wales learning programme established in 2008 that is supported by the Welsh Government’s Wales Union Learning Fund (WULF) and Creative Wales. It is led by Bectu (a sector of Prospect) the trade union for those working behind the scenes in TV, Film, Theatre, Digital and Live Events. We work in partnership with sister unions Equity, the Musicians’ Union (MU) and the Writers’ Guild of GB (WGGB) who alongside TUC Cymru provide Governance for the programme via the CULT Cymru Steering Group.
What we do
We are proud of the work that we do to support the learning needs and mental health and wellbeing of people working across the creative industries both behind the scenes and on stage/screen. The Marketing Co-ordinator is an exciting role that is an essential part of CULT Cymru’s team in supporting creative workers.
Freelance workers and employees benefit from CULT Cymru’s learning activities and can access opportunities to gain new skills, grow their confidence, build new networks and improve their well-being, in fact our members help inform what training and events we should organise.
Employers also benefit from CULT Cymru’s learning activities and projects for their staff and freelancers. Employers working in the Screen Sector (TV, Film, Animation & Games) can apply for a grant to place a Wellbeing Facilitator on their Production. Creative organisations in Wales, in particular Live Events/Music Venues, can access accredited Mental Health First Aid Workshops. All creative workers and employers in Wales can sign-on to a broad range of training across Wales. Training - CULT Cymru
