Prospect is looking for a Senior Events Producer to lead, shape and deliver an ambitious and growing programme of roundtables, live discussions, conferences and policy events. Our events bring together politicians, policymakers, business leaders and thinkers to discuss the most pressing issues facing Britain today. As Prospect expands its commercial events business, this role lets you help build a respected, influential events platform in Westminster and public affairs.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys both the craft and pace of events — from shaping compelling programmes and managing stakeholders, to making sure the small details are right on the day. We are a small, ambitious team, so we’re looking for someone practical, collaborative and willing to get stuck in. There’s a significant opportunity for the role to grow as the events business scales over the next few years.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the planning and delivery of Prospect’s programme of high-level events, including roundtables, panel discussions and conferences.
  • Work alongside the Head of Engagement to develop longer‑term events that align with Prospect's editorial vision.
  • Manage and support an Events Executive.
  • Work closely with speakers, chairs, sponsors and external partners.
  • Oversee guest lists, invitations and RSVP management.
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including venues, AV, catering and room set‑up.
  • Manage event delivery on‑site, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for guests and partners.
  • Support event reporting, write‑ups and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Attend and lead regular meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the MD to manage budgets, costs and event margins.
  • Contribute ideas for new event formats, audience development and programme growth.

About you:

  • At least 3 years’ experience producing professional events, ideally within politics, policy, media or public affairs.
  • Highly organised, detail‑oriented and calm under pressure.
  • Some experience managing or mentoring junior team members.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, including politicians, policymakers and corporate partners.
  • Practical, adaptable and happy to work in a fast‑moving SME environment.
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team — no passengers, no big egos.
  • Commercial awareness, with an understanding of how events contribute to business growth.
  • An interest in politics, policy and public life.

Prospect is in an exciting growth phase, rebuilding and expanding its commercial events business following significant investment in new event formats, partnerships and audience development. The events programme is central to Prospect’s future growth strategy, with ambitious plans for expansion over the next two years. This role is a chance to lead and shape the next phase, with real opportunities for progression as the business grows.

Details:

  • Full‑time role based in Westminster, London.
  • The role includes early morning events and occasional evening work.
  • Hybrid working available.
  • Report directly to the MD of Advertising, Sales & Sponsorship.
