Experienced lawyers with a following and the ambition to grow it well. Prospect Law seeks to attract experienced lawyers, typically at senior associate, legal director or partner level, who have an established client following and want to continue developing that work within a credible, supportive and commercially intelligent firm. We are open to conversations across a broad range of practice areas. Some candidates will fit naturally into our existing teams; others may be looking to build a new or adjacent offering with the backing of an established firm.
While energy – particularly renewables and nuclear – remains a core strength, we actively welcome lawyers whose practices complement or expand our current capabilities. Our model suits lawyers who value autonomy without isolation: professionals who want control over their practice, pricing and client relationships, but who also recognise the benefits of operating within a well‑run, regulated firm with genuine infrastructure and reputation.
Lawyers may work from our London office, remotely, or on a hybrid basis, depending on personal preference and client needs. You will operate under a consultancy arrangement with a competitive and transparent fee share that is entirely competitive with leading platform law firms. This reflects a commercially sensible approach, taking into account the nature of the work, its regularity and the costs involved in servicing it.
Prospect Law provides the full professional infrastructure required to support client work, including:
- SRA regulation and governance
- Professional indemnity insurance
- Compliance and risk management support
- IT systems and administrative assistance
- Marketing and business development support
This allows our lawyers to focus on clients, quality and sustainable growth, rather than on building and maintaining a standalone practice.
A consultancy model with real depth. Prospect Law is not simply a consultant platform. It is an SRA-regulated Multi-Disciplinary Practice, founded in 2010, with a long-standing reputation in complex, technical and regulated sectors. Where many consultancy models primarily offer a brand and a billing mechanism, Prospect Law combines the flexibility of consultancy with the credibility of an established boutique firm, recognised in the Legal 500. Our name carries weight with clients, insurers, regulators and counterparties, particularly in energy and infrastructure.
A defining feature of Prospect Law is its embedded multidisciplinary structure. Alongside solicitors and barristers, the firm includes engineers and other technical specialists. This enables lawyers to work in an environment where legal, commercial and technical expertise sit together, producing solutions that purely legal platforms are not structured to deliver.
Prospect Law has a well‑developed insurance‑facing and risk management capability, working with the insurance market to design alternatives to standard commercial insurance arrangements. This creates streams of work and collaboration that are rarely available within conventional consultancy or platform firm models.
While autonomy is central to how we work, our lawyers are not expected to operate as lone practitioners. Prospect Law provides embedded operational, compliance and marketing support, allowing consultants to focus on client relationships and practice development rather than administrative burden.
The proposition in summary for senior lawyers considering their next move, Prospect Law offers a model that delivers:
- Independence with substance
- Flexibility with institutional credibility
- Opportunities for growth within a genuinely established firm
It is a proposition designed for lawyers who want control over their practice without sacrificing support, reputation or access to complex, high‑quality work.
