Prospect Health is delighted to be working with a forward-thinking and well-established small animal practice in the Blackpool area as they look to welcome a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to their growing clinical team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a practice that offers a genuinely flexible rota, clinical freedom, excellent facilities, and strong support for professional development.
What\'s on Offer:
  • Salary up to £75,000 FTE (dependent on experience)
  • Welcome bonus up to £5,000
  • Flexible working options ideally a minimum of 2 days per week and 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am3pm), but open to discussions to support your ideal work-life balance
  • No out-of-hours and no Sundays
  • Full sponsorship and relocation support available for international or relocating candidates

  • About the Practice:
  • Modern, purpose-built, RCVS-accredited facility with separate dog, cat, and exotic wards
  • Located in a vibrant retail park, with excellent local amenities and close proximity to the beach
  • Fantastic transport links (motorway access, tram, bus, and train networks); easily commutable from Manchester or Liverpool
  • 3 consult rooms, spacious treatment areas, and full air-conditioning
  • State-of-the-art equipment including:
  • Digital and dental x-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Capnography
  • Imagyst cytology
  • Laparoscopy
  • Advanced clinical services in-house, including dermatology and orthopaedics, with further interest in imaging and internal medicine

  • The Team:
  • Diverse and welcoming team of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, SVNs, VCAs, and experienced client care professionals
  • Collaborative and inclusive culture with a focus on quality care and job satisfaction
  • Regular admin breaks and structured workflow designed to minimise stress and promote efficiency
  • Candidate Requirements:
  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Comfortable with routine consults and surgery (support available for development in complex cases)
  • Proactive, collaborative, and passionate about high clinical standards
  • Open to vets with developing or advanced interests in dermatology, imaging, surgery, or internal medicine
