The Role
As a Hospital Pharmacist, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred pharmacy services within a busy hospital setting.
Your responsibilities will include
- Accurately dispensing prescription medications in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Providing medication counselling and clinical advice to patients.
- Working collaboratively with doctors, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care.
- Conducting medication reviews and promoting the safe and effective use of medicines.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting stock management.
- Delivering NHS and clinical pharmacy services where appropriate.
- Advising patients on medicines and healthcare products.
- Supporting health promotion initiatives and contributing to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services.
- About the Pharmacy
Based within a major teaching hospital, this busy outpatient pharmacy dispenses approximately 15,000 prescription items each month, offering an excellent opportunity to broaden your hospital pharmacy experience.

- What We’re Looking For
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPh C), or a newly qualified Pharmacist eligible to register.
- Hospital pharmacy experience is desirable, although newly qualified Pharmacists with a keen interest in developing within a hospital setting are encouraged to apply.
