An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established, independent small animal practice based near Scarborough, North Yorkshire. This single-site practice has a long-standing reputation for providing high-quality care and offers an exceptional working environment with a genuine team spirit.

This role is ideally suited to a vet with 1-5 years of post-qualification experience who is confident with routine surgery and consultations, and who values working as part of a close-knit, collaborative team. The practice is independently owned, meaning clinical freedom is supported, and there's a strong focus on career development, staff wellbeing, and continuity of care.

  • Salary: Up to £60,000 depending on experience
  • Full-time: 4-day week (40 hours)
  • 1 in 5 Saturday mornings: 9am-12:30pm
  • No out-of-hours requirement: OOH covered externally
  • Consultation structure: 15-minute consults with structured surgery and consult time
  • Protected lunch breaks: No evening consults past 6:30pm

The Practice:

  • Independently owned by a dedicated Clinical Director
  • Friendly and experienced team of 4 vets (including certificate holders), 4 RVNs, and full reception and support staff
  • Facilities include:
    • 2 consult rooms and 1 surgical theatre
    • Separate dental suite with dental X-ray
    • In-house laboratory (Idexx equipment), ultrasound, and general diagnostic tools
  • Converted residential building offering a calm and welcoming environment
  • Located in a quiet residential area, just 0.5 miles from the coast, with on-site parking and public transport nearby
