We are currently recruiting for an experienced Locum Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and highly regarded independent practice in Northamptonshire. The practice has a friendly and experienced team of 5 FTE vets and places a strong emphasis on excellent patient care, client relationships and continuity of care. The team is proud of the personal service they provide, with vets encouraged to build long-term relationships with their clients and patients.
The practice offers a modern working environment with the diagnostic and surgical equipment you'd expect from a progressive first-opinion clinic, including digital X-ray, ultrasound and on-site operating facilities.
The Opportunity
- £400 - £500 per day, depending on experience
- ASAP start, with an ongoing requirement until at least the end of November
- 40 hours per week over 4 days, plus 1 weekend in 4
- No fixed weekday off, allowing flexibility around the practice rota
- No OOH and no on-call
- Join an established 5-vet team
- Busy first-opinion Small Animal caseload with a strong emphasis on quality of care
- 15-minute consultations, allowing plenty of time to communicate with clients and work cases up appropriately.
- Accommodation can be provided for travelling Vets
The practice is open Monday-Friday from 8am-6:30pm, Saturday from 9am-3pm and Sunday from 10am-3pm. The successful locum will join the established rota, working 37 hours during the week alongside the weekend commitment. There are no overnight duties or on-call requirements.
