We are looking for a motivated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join a thriving, independent practice just north of Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity for a vet who wants to work in a supportive, collaborative environment with excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.

The Role

  • Full-time position (3-4 days per week)
  • Participation in a Saturday rota (1 in 3 Saturdays, 9:00-12:00)
  • Flexible opportunities to work across multiple branch surgeries
  • Mix of consults, diagnostics, and surgery
  • Scope to develop areas of interest, including complementary therapies, wildlife rehabilitation, or student mentoring
  • The role is ideal for an experienced vet, but recent graduates looking for hands-on experience and career development will also be considered.
  • There is significant scope to shape your role, whether that's helping develop a new branch with rehabilitation facilities, supporting operations at the main surgery, or getting involved in teaching and charity work.

The Practice

  • Independent, multi-branch practice with a main surgery and two nearby branches
  • Main surgery features four consulting rooms, separate cat and dog wards, separate cat and dog operating theatres, and a dedicated dental suite
  • Additional branch surgeries include consulting rooms, operating facilities, in-house lab, and dental equipment
  • New bespoke branch with a Pet Well-being Centre offering complementary therapies including hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, acupuncture, and K-Laser (opening November 2025)
  • Strong commitment to wildlife and charity work, including provision of veterinary care for a local rescue centre

  • Salary: £38,000-£65,000 (dependent on experience)
