A multi award-winning, family-run independent optical practice in Radlett (just northeast of Watford) is seeking a qualified Dispensing Optician to join their experienced and friendly team. Established in 1991, the practice is known for its focus on personalised eyecare and bespoke eyewear.
About the Role
- Full-time, 5 days per week
- No Sundays
- Team includes 12 DOs and 34 Optical Assistants daily
- 23 clinics per day with 45-minute test times
- Technology includes: Optomap, Silverstone OCT, Angiography, VR headsets for fields, AI-powered Hoya measuring mirror, IPL for dry eye, Valeda for dry AMD treatment
- Lenses: Hoya, Essilor, Zeiss, Shamir
- Frames: Lindberg, Silhouette, Moscot, Maui Jim, Face a Face, Moleskine & Luxottica brands
Key Responsibilities
- Dispensing a wide range of lenses and frames tailored to individual needs
- Supporting pre-screening and handover between clinical and dispensing teams
- Providing expert advice on lenses, frames, and visual solutions
- Maintaining high standards of patient care and attention to detail
