Be part of a fast-growing pharmacy operation, redefining how healthcare is delivered at scale. This healthcare organisation operates as a UK‑based DSP, providing infrastructure and fulfilment support solely to other healthcare businesses rather than directly to the public. Its approach is intentionally specialist, concentrating on a small set of clinical pathways, most notably GLP‑1‑based weight management. This allows for a depth of operational expertise that differs from a conventional community pharmacy model.
Prescriptions are received and processed through digitally integrated systems, designed to support large-scale dispensing and end-to-end delivery across the UK, working in close coordination with partner clinics. Current activity levels exceed 16,000 prescription items per month, with significant expansion underway and projected volumes rising to 50,000-60,000 items per month over the coming year.
The environment is fast-paced and operationally intensive, demanding a structured approach, strong process ownership, and the ability to perform consistently against defined service expectations while systems and workflows continue to evolve. As the operation grows, the management role presents clear development opportunities, including responsibility for broader teams, and a key position within a rapidly expanding healthcare platform.
Would suit the following: A Non-Pharmacist Manager (pref ACT, but not essential), a Pharmacist or existing Pharmacy Manager. At scale DSP management experience preferred.
Key duties:
- Own the day-to-day operational performance across dispensing, packing, and dispatch
- Lead floor operations, supervising flow, resolving bottlenecks, and managing shifts
- Manage capacity, rotas, and staffing to meet demand and SLA targets
- Accountable for operational output and on-time performance, backlog control, and same-day dispatch performance
- Line-manage the team, ensuring training quality, execution standards, and first-line issue management
Package and Benefits:
Salary (DOE and qualifications): £35,000 - £55,000p/a
31 days holiday (+ birthday and 0.5 days per year of service up to a max of 2 additional days)
Essential Requirements:
UK Pharmacy Management experience - DSP preferred.
