Job Summary
A rare opportunity has come available in Cwmbran . Our client is a Welsh leading customer service store, offering both clinical excellence and high Optometrist retention, with over 130 years of Optometrist experience within their current team.
The store offers IP/Med Ret & Glaucoma Cert training and run a very successful Pre Registration programme with the experience they are able to offer. Our client is looking for the candidate that fits into their staff friendly culture, offers high customer service, high ethical beliefs and a drive to further themselves both mentally and academically.
You will join an experienced and tenured team in a practice with low staff turnover and a phenomenal reputation in the area, where it is known as the opticians of choice. The hours are ideally full time, however they are open to 4 days a week with the option to have alternate weekends off.
The practice itself is a highly-established and has close links with the community it serves, where they are regularly fully booked and receive referrals from happy patients for their friends/family to come and see them.
Additionally the practice continually invests in the latest equipment, with test rooms boasting OCT's, phoropters, Humphries Fields Machines alongside a fully paperless system. With numerous options for both clinical and career progression, this is an excellent prospect for an Optometrist to join a successful practice in the next stage of it's growth.
Key Duties
- Full time role but would consider 4 days
- General working hours of 9am-5:30pm
- Modern and well-equipped clinical practice including OCT''s and fully paperless records
- Offer wider clinical services including WECS & Cataracts amongst more
- Working alongside an experienced and tenured team including multiple Dispensing Opticians

Package and Benefits
- Very competitive package with a fully negotiable basic salary as follows:
- Newly qualified from £50k per annum, post 2 years qualified £60k per annum, IP qualified £65k per annum.
