Practice Technician - GP Practice

Hours: 22.5-30 hours per week

We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Technician to join a busy and supportive GP Practice in Bristol on a part-time basis, working 22.530 hours per week.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Pharmacy Technician looking to utilise their skills within a primary care setting, supporting both the clinical team and patients to deliver safe and effective medicines optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting medicines optimisation within the GP practice.
- Processing medication requests and repeat prescriptions.
- Undertaking medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge.
- Assisting with prescription queries from patients and healthcare professionals.
- Supporting medication reviews and ensuring prescribing is safe and cost-effective.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Promoting high standards of patient care and medication safety.
Requirements
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential).
- Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- GP Practice experience is desirable but not essential, depending on overall experience.
