The Role
We are looking for a Full-Time Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy, small animal hospital team. This role offers a varied caseload of ECC, surgery, medicine, and inpatient care with no sole charge and a strong clinical support structure.
What your week will look like:
- 4-day working week (Mon-Fri) with a mix of surgery, consulting, and inpatient shifts
- 1 in 4 weekends (10hrs Sat & Sun, mainly ECC, sick pet consults & inpatient care, no sole charge)
- Protected time and resources for clinical development

Advanced Clinical Tools & Caseload
As an advanced general practice, we manage a wide range of medical and surgical cases, including:
- Regular: Caesareans, pyometras, laparotomies, enterotomies, enterectomies
- Complex medicine: Addison's, DKA, severe pancreatitis
- ECC procedures: Oesophageal tubes, Seldinger chest drains, abdominal peritoneal drains, Pigtail urinary catheters, TFAST/AFAST, Transfusion medicine, urinary catheterisation, Negative pressure wound therapy
Equipment includes:
- Diagnostic: Procyte, Catalyst Dx, Coag analysers (APTT/PT), EPOC, full IDEXX range
- Imaging: Digital X-ray, Advanced Ultrasound with Doppler, CT, Flexible & Rigid Endoscopy, Dental X-ray with CR7
- Monitoring & Surgical: Multiparameter monitors (ECG, SpO2, BP, Capnography), Doppler BP, Gen11 vessel sealing, Valleylab mono/bipolar, Ligaclips, E20 sterilisation
- Scopes: Video otoscope, bronchoscope, gastroscope

- Minimum 2 years' experience in small animal practice
