Independently-run small animal practice in the Fareham area who are looking to welcome two Veterinary Surgeons to their team, due to both growth and a relocation within the existing team.
Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon Fareham Area
Salary up to £70,000 | Full or Part Time | 1 in 4 Saturdays | No Sundays
This is a well-established and genuinely supportive small animal practice, run with full clinical independence despite being part of a larger network. You will be joining a stable and welcoming team where mentorship, collaboration and doing what is right for the patient are at the heart of how they work. The existing vets have each been with the practice since early in their careers, reflecting the positive culture and long-term development support available.
The practice can be flexible: full-time is around 40 hours per week, but part-time options are very much open ideally from 2+ set days, with 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30-18:00) and no Sunday work. Sole charge is minimal and typically only on weekends. Consults run at 15 minutes as standard, and the balance of surgery and consulting can be adapted to your strengths and interests.
The practice is well equipped for first-opinion work and includes a cardiology certificate holder on the team. They are open-minded about investing in further equipment to support clinical progression, and certificate study can be fully supported.
The salary is up to £70,000, depending on experience, and the practice is happy to consider vets from 1+ years' experience, including confident recently-qualified vets.
