This independent pharmacy is a busy and well‑established community pharmacy that dispenses approximately 8,800 items per month. Situated in a residential area with convenient off‑road parking, the pharmacy benefits from a loyal patient base and a supportive, experienced team. The pharmacy operates using the ProScript PMR system and is supported by a highly capable Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT), allowing the Pharmacist to focus on patient care, clinical services and business development.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and patient‑focused Pharmacist to lead our community pharmacy team. This role would suit a pharmacist with at least two years' post‑qualification experience who is passionate about delivering high‑quality healthcare services and driving the growth of NHS and private services. The successful candidate will act as the Responsible Pharmacist and play a key role in expanding service delivery while maintaining the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the Responsible Pharmacist and oversee the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy.
- Deliver excellent pharmaceutical care and clinical advice to patients.
- Drive and promote NHS services such as Pharmacy First, New Medicine Service (NMS), Blood Pressure Checks, Contraception Service and Seasonal Vaccinations.
- Develop and promote private services, including Ear Wax Removal.
- Lead, motivate and support the pharmacy team.
- Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, NHS regulations and company procedures.
- Build strong relationships with local GP surgeries and other healthcare professionals.
- Support business growth through proactive service delivery and patient engagement.
- Manage stock control and ensure efficient pharmacy operations.
Essential Requirements
- MPharm degree or equivalent qualification.
- Current GPhC registration.
- Minimum two years post‑qualification experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
