The Team
You will be leading a supportive and collaborative team including:
- 2 Veterinary Surgeons (with a new graduate joining)
- 4 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- A dedicated and experienced reception team
The current team has a range of clinical interests, including exotics and diagnostic imaging, ensuring a varied and interesting caseload. There is a strong focus on training and development, with a track record of supporting students and helping them progress into permanent roles.
The Role
As Head Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a key role in both clinical delivery and team leadership. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the clinical team and setting high standards of patient care
- Driving clinical excellence and continuous improvement
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues at all levels
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the practice
- Managing a varied caseload of medical and surgical cases

Working Pattern
- 4-day working week
- 1 in 4 weekends
- No out-of-hours
- Participation in on-call support for overnight inpatients if required

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a BVSc or equivalent veterinary degree recognised in the UK
