My client, an innovative company at the forefront of electric motor technology, requires a Manufacturing Design Engineer for a contract role outside IR35.This is an onsite role. The Manufacturing Design Engineer will develop and maintain my clients manufacturing process. The role will entail designing and introducing jigs, tools and fixtures to the shop floor for both NPI and existing production, improving production efficiency and ensuring that products conform to quality standards. Responsibilities: Developing and implementing tooling and fixture solutions to optimise manufacturing operations Design and prototype of tooling and fixtures and apply engineering principles to the development of tools Working with Manufacturing Engineers and Designers to understand the product interfaces and best tooling solutions Developing specifications for tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing processes Creating tooling/fixture calibration, replacement and maintenance schedules dependant on usage and wear Developing and maintaining tooling maintenance and audits schedules Requirements:
