As a Growth Strategist, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our agency. You’ll help establish the ecommerce strategy function, develop high‑performing processes, and support our brands with top level strategy. We’re looking for an A‑player who’s ready to take ownership of our strategic output, push performance forward, and work closely with our leadership team to shape the direction of our capabilities.
Responsibilities- Own day‑to‑day growth strategy for a portfolio of clients, translating high‑level commercial goals into clear, actionable plans across acquisition, retention, and conversion.
- Support the creation and upkeep of performance forecasts, including channel‑level KPIs, budget guidance, and growth targets to inform execution and prioritisation.
- Build medium to long‑term growth roadmaps for clients, outlining key initiatives, experiments, and improvements required to unlock sustainable revenue growth.
- Monitor and analyse core performance metrics such as revenue, MER, CAC, AOV, and contribution margin, flagging risks and opportunities and recommending corrective actions.
- Contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews by turning performance data into insights and clearly articulated strategic recommendations.
- Work closely with delivery teams (Paid Social, Creative, Retention and Paid Search) to ensure execution aligns with the agreed strategy, timelines, and commercial objectives.
- Provide strategic input across the wider eCommerce ecosystem, including site performance, merchandising, customer journey optimisation, and data accuracy.
- Act as a key client contact on growth strategy, maintaining clear and proactive communication via Slack, email, and Google Meets.
- Build and deliver performance summaries and strategic updates that clearly explain results, learnings, and next steps in a commercially grounded way.
- Over time, support and collaborate with more junior team members through guidance and feedback, without full people‑management responsibility.
- 3–5 years’ experience in an eCommerce growth, strategy, or performance role, ideally within a DTC brand or performance‑focused agency.
- Demonstrated experience working with revenue, MER, CAC, or profitability targets and contributing to profitable growth.
- Experience supporting forecasts, budgets, and KPI frameworks used to guide marketing and commercial decisions.
- Strong understanding of the eCommerce growth funnel, including acquisition (paid social, paid search), retention (email/SMS, CRM), CRO, and analytics.
- Hands‑on experience with Shopify and analytics platforms such as GA4, Triple Whale, or similar reporting tools.
- Experience contributing to structured planning cycles such as monthly reviews and quarterly planning.
- Client‑facing experience, comfortable discussing performance, insights, and recommendations with stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness: Strong grasp of unit economics and performance trade‑offs, with the ability to think beyond top‑line revenue.
- Strategic mindset: Able to connect data, performance trends, and commercial goals into a clear strategic direction.
- Analytical strength: Confidence working with data to identify insights and translate them into practical, testable actions.
- Clear communication: Able to explain complex performance topics simply and align multiple stakeholders around priorities.
- Organisation & prioritisation: Comfortable managing multiple clients or workstreams while keeping momentum on strategic initiatives.
- Collaboration: Works effectively with cross‑functional teams and supports the development of junior teammates without formal leadership responsibility.
