We are currently seeking a Junior Desktop Support Engineer to work onsite in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has studied IT (college, university, or training course) and is now looking to kick-start their career in a hands-on IT support role.
What you’ll do
- Providing friendly, helpful first-line support to staff with basic IT issues.
- Learning how to assist with second-line support as your skills grow.
- Helping to keep IT equipment, systems, and accounts running smoothly.
- Supporting the team with day-to-day IT tasks and ongoing improvements.
You don’t need to have done all of this before — full training and support will be provided — but you’ll get involved with:
- Logging and resolving basic IT support requests via the ticketing system.
- Setting up laptops, desktops, and peripherals for new and existing staff.
- Assisting with user account administration and password resets.
- Helping with office moves, equipment deployment, and basic hardware tasks.
- Supporting audio-visual and meeting room technology.
- Updating simple technical documentation and user guides.
- Supporting the IT team with equipment checks, inventory, and supplier liaison.
What to bring
- A basic understanding of Windows operating systems and IT fundamentals.
- An interest in networks, cloud services, or IT infrastructure (training provided).
- Good communication skills and a positive, helpful attitude.

Education & Certifications
- HNC in Computing, Level 6 Advanced Computing, or similar IT qualification.

- Any part-time work, voluntary work, college projects, or personal IT interests are welcome.
