In this role, you’ll take ownership of critical infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments, ensuring stability, security, and scalability. You’ll collaborate with teams and external partners, provide technical leadership on projects, and drive improvements in reliability and disaster recovery strategies.
What you’ll do:
- Manage and maintain infrastructure hardware, cloud platforms, and backup solutions
- Ensure security, performance, and disaster recovery readiness
- Provide technical guidance on projects and vendor management
- Create and maintain clear operational documentation
- Drive improvements in reliability and operational processes
What to bring:
- Extensive experience as a subject matter expert in infrastructure support and maintenance across on-premise and cloud data centres, including servers, storage, backup & recovery, and cloud services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), ideally within the oil and gas sector or similar
- Strong knowledge of cloud environments (Azure/AWS) and automation tools (PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform)
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and virtualisation technologies
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
