We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in IT delivery to support the execution of complex IS projects. Operating within a structured governance framework, you will be accountable for project planning, cost control, risk management, and stakeholder coordination, ensuring projects deliver measurable business value while meeting regulatory and operational requirements.

The Project Manager is responsible for delivering the overall project objectives and specific team deliverables, by the planning of project activities and executing assigned tasks/work within the expected quality standards, to ensure the project is a success.

What you’ll do:

  • Under minimal direction, leads project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for the IS projects, following the agreed IS project delivery framework.
  • Facilitates needs assessment and the development of recommended project control solutions to be used for planning, scheduling, and tracking projects through integration of various Project Management tools and project delivery frameworks.
  • Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics to include costs, operational budgets, resourcing requirements, and risks.
  • Contributes to project estimation process for budget and resourcing.
  • Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project, including sub-contractor monitoring.
  • Ensures adherence to regulatory and company standards and requirements.
  • Controls project requirements, scope, budget, resourcing and change management risks and issues.
  • Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria.
  • Manages changes in operational plan via the defined functional processes.
  • Assists in the training of the project team on application of the procedures.
  • Maintains awareness on emerging technologies and Project Management techniques.
  • Develops project control and reporting procedures and manages changes in operational plan.
  • Undertakes status review meetings among project team members and stakeholders and escalates risks and issues to the Programme Manager.
  • Works with management on project proposals, contracts, estimates, and schedules.
  • Coaches and advises team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.

What to bring:

  • Experience managing data‑related projects and/or a strong background in data, with the ability to deliver data‑centric initiatives effectively.
  • Strong experience planning and managing multiple projects within an IT infrastructure and/or application environment.
  • Experience working within the oil and gas industry would be beneficial.
  • Basic understanding of Project Online is desirable.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and explain the project goals and objectives to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Good business acumen, including industry and domain‑specific knowledge. Familiarity with industry trends and innovation, and how other organisations are using them to drive digital business.
  • Good project planning and execution skills.
  • Ability to develop projects and deliver them against financial and resource constraints.
  • Proven track record with the use of reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Qualifications in one of the following project delivery methodology or frameworks and experience of others, such as: PMI standards, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP).
