The Role:
The Graduate will work/train within the Technical and Operations Department, offering a 2 Year Graduate Programme. On this 2-year Manufacturing Graduate programme you will develop the skills and knowledge to become a great team leader, maintaining and setting high standards for technical and operational excellence.
Role Accountabilities: Technical and Operations
·Operation of laboratory equipment.
·Collection of test samples from the production area, ensuring samples are clearly identified for traceability purposes.
·Monitoring of production trials, communicating results
·Testing of finished product
·Completing Test Reports and certificates of conformity for approved products and sending this information to the end customer.
·Conducting Internal Audits as set out in Quality Manual
·Management of MSDS and Technical Data Sheets
·Ensure compliance with the company quality management system, site health and safety and environmental as set out by company guidelines, policies and regulations.
·Product development activities to include laboratory formulation.
·Manage ongoing project work efficiently and in a timely manner, adhering to quality, health, safety and environment policies at all times.
·Contribute towards development of laboratory processes and procedures.
·Contribute to continuous improvement of new and existing products and manufacturing processes.
·Ensure thorough validation of new and modified products prior to manufacturing implementation.
·Develop into a position to provide technical advice to the sales and sales support teams.
About you:
·Achieved or expected to achieve at least a 2:2 degree (or equivalent) in a Materials/Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
·Can demonstrate excellent analytical skills.
·Enthusiasm to learn within a Manufacturing environment.
·Ability to apply study theory to manufacturing practices.
·Flexible and co-operative attitude and approach.
·Ability to work in a team or individually.
·Willing to undertake training at different sites following a Graduate Programme.
·Good communication skills interacting at all levels from shop floor to senior management.
·Possess good IT skills.
