My client, a specialist high precision component and machine manufacturer, have a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter.

The Job:

  • Build sub-assemblies from component level following schematics.
  • Work to tight tolerances (-10 microns)
  • Working on complex machine builds
  • Maintenance of refurb of heavy machinery
  • Working experience of hydraulics and pneumatics would be an advantage.
  • Confident with bearings, gears, and machine alignment

About you:

  • Mechanical trained with the ability to build a component from start to finish.
  • Experience of multi axis precision machinery
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Confidence and the ability to work in a precision engineering environment and the ability to work on bespoke and one-off items.
  • Good all-round mechanical assembler with a confident understanding of machine tools
