My client, a specialist high precision component and machine manufacturer, have a fantastic opportunity for an Engineering Buyer. This role is suitable opportunity that seeks an autonomous role and is looking to develop their career within procurement. What’s on offer: * 4 ½ day week when office based- enjoy your long weekend! * Up to £40k Neg DOE * Excellent pension scheme and life assurance * Sick pay scheme and cash health plan The Job: * Manage procurement activities and subcontractor services. * Manage product schedules and performance schedules. * Use MRP systems to manage purchase workflow. * Work with engineering and production teams to forecast demand. * Manage outsourcing of sub-contract work. * Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers. * Source and purchase raw materials, consumable, and tooling. About you: * Proven experience within a technical or engineering buying role. * Strond understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. * Experience within a component manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage. * Excellent negotiation and communication skills * Detail orientated with strong organizational skills This role offers a fantastic career opportunity for someone that would like to build on their procurement experience, with a view for future progression.
