Are you a registered manager looking for a new opportunity managing solo placement Children's homes? ProSkillz Recruitment Ltd are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to support a Responsible Individual in their journey to open a 2 bedded EBD Children's residential home in Tamworth. The Registered Manager will be supported by the Responsible Individual in registering the home with Ofsted and creating a successful service where children/young people as well as the staff team enjoy positive outcomes.
We need a Registered Manager who truly does put children first, and role models this with the rest of the team. We expect the child in your care to feel valued and cared for, safe and loved, and to be given opportunities to achieve their potential whilst their individual needs remain at the core of everything you do.
Key Responsibilities:- Prior to registration the Registered Manager will be required to work with the Responsible Individual to complete Ofsted registration.
- Support the Responsible Individual to recruit the team, arrange training and staff inductions.
- Once the home is registered with Ofsted, the Registered Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the home and the oversight of the staff team and staff supervisions, as well as being accountable for the regulatory performance of the home as the Ofsted Registered Manager.
- The Registered Manager is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day needs of the young person are met.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or Level 3 and already working towards the Level 5 Diploma.
- A minimum of 1-year experience as a manager/deputy in residential children's care.
- Experience dealing with children with emotional behavioural and learning disabilities.
- Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to delegate effectively.
- An ability to work both under own initiative and as part of a management team whilst maintaining professional relationship boundaries with non-management staff.
- Detailed understanding of Children's Act 1989, Care Standards Act 2000, Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and other relevant legislation.
- Be creative and able to use your own initiative and manage in challenging situations.
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own transport.
