The Process Improvement Specialist will drive operational excellence by analyzing and redesigning legal and business workflows, gathering and translating requirements, and enabling technology-led improvements across practices and business services. Acting as a bridge between end-users and technical teams, the role blends hands-on project delivery with adoption and change management to deliver measurable gains in turnaround time, quality, and client economics.
Key Responsibilities- Business Analysis & Process optimization: Map current-state workflows, identify friction points, document requirements, and design improved procedures using appropriate methodologies. Define KPIs and benefits measures to track outcomes.
- Technology Enablement & Adoption: Partner with Innovation and IT to deploy and integrate tools (e.g., document automation, AI-enabled review, collaboration platforms). Develop training, targeted resources, and 1:1 coaching. Monitor usage to surface insights and iterate.
- Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as liaison between lawyers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams. Run workshops, focus groups, and feedback loops. Execute communications to support readiness and sustain adoption.
- Project Delivery & Continuous Improvement: Contribute to cross-functional initiatives (practice groups, Pricing, Practice Management, LPM, KM). Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate ROI. Triage, escalate, and coordinate resolution of user issues and enhancement requests. Maintain process maps and solution documentation.
- Experience in business analysis, process improvement, legal operations, or similar in professional services; ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions.
- Familiarity with legal tech platforms and collaboration tools; comfort learning new technology.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and KPI/benefits tracking; strong analytical skills and comfort working with data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proven stakeholder engagement and influence skills.
- Proactive, client-focused problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment; experience with adoption/change management is a plus.
This position will require physical presence in Proskauer’s offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require).
