What You Need To Know
We are seeking a multiskilled Test Technician to join our Great Yarmouth team, supporting the testing, fault-finding, and validation of our control system equipment. Based at our purpose built facility on Beacon Park, Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, you will undertake testing of electrohydraulic subsea and topside control systems in line with approved procedures. You’ll maintain accurate records, perform electrical and hydraulic testing, configure equipment, troubleshoot faults, and liaise with Engineers to resolve issues. The role also involves supporting FAT and client witness testing.
What We Are Looking For
Key Accountabilities
- Perform electrical and hydraulic testing including continuity, insulation resistance, fault-finding, and functional checks
- Set up and carry out pressure, leak, flushing, and cleanliness tests on hydraulic circuits
- Operate test consoles, software, and data acquisition systems to validate product performance
- Record and maintain accurate test results, NCRs, and other documentation
- Identify drawing/procedural discrepancies and provide feedback to Engineering
- Maintain and inspect test fixtures, tooling, and plant equipment
- Represent Proserv during client and third-party witness testing
- Work on-site or offshore as required to support Service activities
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Recognised formal training in a relevant discipline
- Experience in electrohydraulic system testing or manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documentation
- Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience maintaining accurate documentation and test records
- Ability to work in a team and communicate with engineers and technical staff
- Experience supporting FAT, EFAT, or client witness testing
Desirable
- BTEC National Certificate or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- Familiarity with subsea control system standards (API 17F, API 17D, IEC)
- Experience with controls/communications software (Modbus)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Relevant Health & Safety training
