What You Need To Know

The Business Unit FP&A Manager is a key partner to the BU Leader in implementing and driving strategy for the business. They are responsible for all FP&A activity related to the business units, which has budgeted revenue of $34M globally. This includes overseeing the preparation of monthly management reporting, budgeting and input to and implementation of aligned global processes.

What We Are Looking For

Some of the Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Overall responsibility for creating and delivering cyclical planning and reporting tasks including, flash, month end, 12 month rolling, budgets and strategic plans.
  • Ensure adequate levels of analytical analysis is provided to support and justify the financial data when conducting variance analysis.
  • Provide support to Engineering, Commercial and Sales teams in the preparation of key tenders and bids
  • Perform review and approval duties in-line with Proserv DOA.
  • Ownership of and accountability for accuracy of forecasting, budgeting and actual financial reporting data.
  • Working closely with Project Management teams to ensure BU project financials are correctly stated, POC accounting accuracy and any under/over budget adjustments are booked timely, and project forecasts are accurately captured
  • Provide input and support to the global functional strategy
  • Maintain and analyse key lead and lag KPIs for use in driving efficiency
  • Work closely with DevOps team to ensure adequate reporting tools are in place in relation to these.
  • Responsible for understanding and managing all aspects of BU cashflow, looking for ways to improve working capital cycles, EBITDA improvement, Capex & NPD management
  • Sustaining Business Case Support & Approval
  • Supply Chain Cost Savings Reporting
  • Month End Support & Reporting
  • Complete financial oversight and reporting (P&L/Cashflow/DSO/DPO/ POC)
  • Strategic business partner to the BU Lead, instrumental in developing and growing the business.
  • Input to and adopt shared best practices across the FP&A function.
  • Be proactive in supporting global function leads.
  • Key partner to the Finance Senior Management team.
  • Deliver and participate in ad-hoc meetings and analysis requests, as required.
  • Overall accountability and ownership over revenue and cost accounting processes and mapping.

Qualifications / Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified.
  • Qualified Accountant (or time served in a suitable role).
  • Familiar with MS Packages – Microsoft Dynamics AX, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communicator with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability to knowledge share (transmit and receive lessons learned)
  • Effective team building skills.
  • Effective decision maker with demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Flexible approach requiring the ability to communicate with and support international operations across multiple time zones and a variety of cultures.
