We are looking for an Electrical Technician to join our manufacturing team in Great Yarmouth. This is a hands‑on role supporting the electrical assembly of control systems, where you will build, test, and troubleshoot electrical panels to the highest standards. You will be a motivated and detail‑oriented technician with a strong background in electrical assembly and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Accountabilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels and associated components
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Assist with planning panel layout, including cable routing and component positioning
- Test systems and components, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs
- Operate and maintain production equipment, reporting any issues
- Follow company quality systems, procedures, and safety protocols at all times
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organisation in the production area
- Work collaboratively as part of a production team
- Occasionally support offsite work at customer or supplier premises
Essential Qualifications / Skills & Experience
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., apprenticeship training)
- Experience in electrical panel assembly and testing
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics
- Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
- Good awareness of health & safety practices
Desirable
- City & Guilds in Electrical Installation
- Knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations
- Experience with wellhead or control system panels
- COMPEX certification
