What You Need To Know
We are seeking a Supply Chain Lead to join our operations team. This role will oversee procurement, supplier management, stock control and logistics to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services that support our manufacturing and project delivery schedules. The Supply Chain Lead will work cross‑functionally to optimise cost, quality and lead times while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
What We Are Looking For
Key Accountabilities- Lead procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering and contract negotiation for goods and services.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance, including setting KPIs, conducting reviews and driving continuous improvement.
- Maintain and optimise inventory levels through demand forecasting, stock replenishment strategies and obsolescence management.
- Coordinate logistics and distribution to ensure on‑time delivery to manufacturing, project and customer sites.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, project management and commercial teams to align supply chain activities with business needs.
- Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures and best practice to ensure compliance with quality, HSE and commercial requirements.
- Manage purchase order processing, supplier onboarding and approval workflows, ensuring accurate documentation and auditability.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including single‑source dependencies, lead time increases and regulatory changes.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives and support budgeting, reporting and performance metrics for the supply chain function.
- Occasionally support on‑site activities at customer or supplier premises and participate in project meetings as required.
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain or inventory management, ideally within industrial, manufacturing or energy sectors.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management and supplier performance management.
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems and inventory control techniques.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Professional qualification in procurement or supply chain (e.g., CIPS).
- Experience working with offshore or project-based supply chains.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance in the energy sector.
- Experience of supplier audits and improvement programmes.
