What You Need To Know
We are looking for a skilled and conscientious Assembly & Test Technician to join our Manufacturing team.
This is a hands-on role responsible for the assembly and testing of oil and gas related equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, technical instructions and customer requirements. You will ensure products are manufactured, tested and delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards and timescales.
Working within a specialist engineering environment, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and operational excellence while ensuring compliance with Proserv's QHSE policies, procedures and business ethics standards.
What We Are Looking For
As an Assembly & Test Technician, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacture and testing of equipment through safe, efficient and high-quality working practices. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assemble and test equipment in accordance with engineering drawings, work orders, technical instructions, customer requirements and standard operating procedures.
- Safely operate, maintain and carry out pre-use checks on test apparatus and equipment in line with manufacturers' operating instructions.
- Conduct fitting, pressure testing and inspection activities using appropriate measuring equipment, including micrometers and gauges, ensuring products meet required specifications.
- Perform visual checks of completed assemblies prior to release for final Quality Control inspection.
- Follow all Proserv QHSE policies, procedures and safe working practices, including participating in Health & Safety training and intervening when unsafe conditions are identified and complying with Proserv's Business Ethics Policy.
- Promptly report quality issues, safety incidents and non-conformances, supporting investigations and corrective actions where required.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency and operational performance.
Qualifications / Skills & Experience
We're looking for someone with practical experience in an engineering environment who takes pride in producing high-quality work and maintaining safe working practices. A willingness to learn and develop technical skills is equally important.

- Experience working within an engineering environment.
- Good practical hand skills with experience of general fitting and pressure testing.
- Post-training engineering experience.
- The ability to interpret and follow engineering drawings, technical instructions and standard operating procedures.

- The ability to work effectively as part of a team while taking ownership of your own work.
It Would Be Advantageous If You Have
- An ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering.
- Time-served technician status.
- Previous oilfield experience.
- Knowledge of tube instrumentation.
