John Bean Technologies Marel Corporation (JBTM) is seeking a talented and motivated R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the development and optimisation of new processes, ensuring seamless integration from R&D to manufacturing. The R&D Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the scaling up of production while maintaining quality standards and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Develop and implement research and development plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and process optimisation to ensure successful development and implementation of new processes.
  • Provide technical support during the scale-up of new processes, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Monitor and analyse production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies throughout the development process.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders.
  • Train and mentor production staff on new technologies and processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in research and development, process engineering, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong understanding of R&D processes and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and process optimisation tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
