We are looking for a meticulous Quality Controller with proofreading experience to join our creative production team. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, brand alignment, and production quality across all creative assets. You will be responsible for reviewing copy, ensuring correct grammar and tone of voice, and verifying that design files adhere to brand guidelines and technical specifications.
You will work collaboratively with internal and external teams from around the world when needed to add significant value, and guide projects in the right direction.
Main Duties- Have at least 4 years of experience in a Quality Control, Proofreading or similar role
- Be the brand guardian for all regular brands when it comes to grammar/punctuation
- Proofread and suggest edits of copy for grammar, spelling, punctuation and syntax
- Ensure all work outputted from Prose on Pixels meets relevant brand guidelines
- Deliver a consistently high quality of work that is on brand
- Maintain internal checklists/guidelines
- Check supplied Masters are fit for purpose and adhere to brand guidelines
- Check Artwork adapts for size and print specs
- Check Artwork matches supplied brief/copy
- Check translated artworks adhere to local market guidelines
- Work collaboratively with makers to ensure consistency and quality across materials
- Demonstrate and champion a clear understanding for the clients' brands
- Support client teams by gaining and maintaining a thorough knowledge of each brand, in terms of guidelines and watchouts
- Be proactive in resolving issues that arise, escalating as appropriate
- Provide clear and concise feedback
- Always be mindful of POP QC process. Support to your full capability – check work thoroughly before handing over, complete checklists, etc.
- Give others sufficient time to proof appropriately and make yourself available for further changes when needed
- Similarly, commercial awareness is key. Quote accurately and flag where additional time may be needed, especially when estimating on behalf of others.
- Be cognizant of budgets and proactively work with account and project leads to keep on track
- Understand and appreciate the roles, capabilities and responsibilities of others within POP and work with them appropriately
- Proactively maintain an awareness of the clients, products and services offered by POP
- Proactively pursue self-development and training opportunities within the team, actively working towards your personal objectives
- Maintain a positive, solutions-driven attitude always
- Maintain Pulse timesheets accurately and submit at the end of each day
- Communicate actions, status and blockers clearly on the appropriate channels (Workfront, email, Teams, etc.) to mitigate doubt and ensure awareness across the team
- Good knowledge of typographic/typesetting
- Good knowledge of spelling/grammar
- Good knowledge of print/digital industry standards
- Understanding of Ziflow (is a bonus)
- Exceptional attention to detail
