Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automatic Door Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automatic door systems across various commercial, industrial and residential sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in construction, electrical work, or related trades to utilise their technical skills in a specialised field.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Working alongside our installation team to assist with any on site work required. This includes, but is not limited to: Maintenance works, Callouts and Installations.
- Thinking on your feet and assisting with any problem solving required.
- Completion of electronic paperwork following on site works, and ensuring this is issued to the office in a timely manner.
- Excellent in person and telephone customer service skills is required. This is for our internal and external customers.
- Completion of the EN16005 must be achieved, this will be set up once you have settled into Prosale.
- A full clean driving license is required (ideally with a minimum of 2 years experience).
- Being able to work under some pressure, whilst also thinking around problems.
- Responding to ad hoc requests from members of the team.
- Attending meetings with other members from the company to perform duties, and to aid business and organisation development.
- Attending training courses when necessary to develop necessary knowledge and skills.
Additional information
You will be required to complete a satisfactory DBS check prior to site work. Materials for each Installation will be loaded up from our head office in Gloucestershire, however travel all over the UK is required to complete on site works.
Experience
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in spoken and written English.
- Knowledge of drawings, wiring schematics is preferred but not necessary.
- Previous experience in the installation or maintenance of automatic doors or similar automated systems is preferred but not mandatory.
- A dedicated, hard working attitude.
