Class 1 Night Driver Trunk Run to Birmingham
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Night Driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves a dedicated nightly trunk run to Birmingham, providing consistent work with a fixed start time of 5:00 PM.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods while ensuring compliance with all road transport regulations and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a nightly trunk run to Birmingham.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
- Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on schedule.
- Comply with drivers hours regulations, tachograph rules, and company policies.
- Maintain a professional attitude and represent the company positively at all times.
- Keep accurate records and complete all required paperwork.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience driving 44-tonne articulated lorries.
- Good knowledge of UK road transport legislation and drivers hours regulations.
- Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
