Our client is one of Yorkshire's leading Electrical, Plumbing & Heating contractors, delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and project services across the commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline for 2026, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical / Plumbing Contracts Manager to lead teams and ensure successful delivery of projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Mechanical / Plumbing professional to join a growing business with a full order book and clear long-term progression opportunities. You will oversee multiple projects, manage site teams, ensure compliance, and drive successful delivery from mobilisation through to handover.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanical / plumbing contracts across multiple UK sites
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
  • Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and schedules
  • Monitor progress and report updates to senior leadership
Team Leadership
  • Lead site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers on-site
  • Maintain high performance standards and accountability
Commercial & Operational
  • Ensure commercial awareness across projects
  • Identify risks, variations, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Support procurement and project planning activities
Health & Safety
  • Enforce site H&S standards and compliance
  • Ensure RAMS, permits, and site processes are followed
  • Maintain quality and safety standards across all works
Requirements
  • Essential Previous experience managing mechanical works / plumbing contracts
  • Proven supervisory or management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to provide technical support to engineers
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Qualifications
  • SMSTS or SSSTS
  • First Aid at Work
  • Relevant Mechanical / Plumbing qualifications
Preferred
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • Experience across commercial / industrial projects
