Our client is one of Yorkshire's leading Electrical, Plumbing & Heating contractors, delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and project services across the commercial, industrial, and domestic sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline for 2026, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical / Plumbing Contracts Manager to lead teams and ensure successful delivery of projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Mechanical / Plumbing professional to join a growing business with a full order book and clear long-term progression opportunities. You will oversee multiple projects, manage site teams, ensure compliance, and drive successful delivery from mobilisation through to handover.
Key Responsibilities- Project Delivery
- Manage mechanical / plumbing contracts across multiple UK sites
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors, and schedules
- Monitor progress and report updates to senior leadership
- Team Leadership
- Lead site supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers on-site
- Maintain high performance standards and accountability
- Commercial & Operational
- Ensure commercial awareness across projects
- Identify risks, variations, and cost-saving opportunities
- Support procurement and project planning activities
- Health & Safety
- Enforce site H&S standards and compliance
- Ensure RAMS, permits, and site processes are followed
- Maintain quality and safety standards across all works
- Essential
- Previous experience managing mechanical works / plumbing contracts
- Proven supervisory or management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to provide technical support to engineers
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Qualifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- First Aid at Work
- Relevant Mechanical / Plumbing qualifications
