Looking for a buying role where you can truly make your mark? We're partnering with a successful and growing business in Redditch to recruit a Senior Buyer who will take ownership of supplier relationships, sourcing strategies, and purchasing activities across a varied product portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional who enjoys autonomy, building supplier partnerships, and driving tangible results. As a standalone Buyer within the Redditch team, you'll have real ownership and visibility, working closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure products are sourced competitively, delivered on time, and aligned with business growth plans.

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience and benefits include:

  • 31 days holiday including Bank Holidays

  • Life Assurance x2 salary
  • Option to purchase up to 5 additional unpaid holiday days

As the Senior Buyer, you will be:

  • Managing supplier relationships and negotiating the best commercial agreements
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities and delivering value across the supply base
  • Sourcing new products and suppliers to support business growth
  • Monitoring market trends, pricing, and supply risks
  • Working closely with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure stock availability and continuity of supply
  • Driving supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives

As the Senior Buyer, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Buyer, Senior Buyer, or Procurement role
  • Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and analysing purchasing data
  • Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous
